About Us
After 6 years of art classes she changed courses and pursued a career in the medical
field.  She was successful in reaching her goals and achieved status as tops in her
career as department chair.

After the birth of her children she became interested in decorative painting.  Her
painting for family, friends and church led to a new career Her motto was…………"
Helping you take the 'white' out of your walls."

Martha has since been professionally trained under master artisan, Martin Alan
Hirsch of Decorative Finishes Studio and The Faux Finish School.  It was under his
tutelage that she learned the newest, most innovative techniques in the design
industry for walls including Venetian Plastering and Lusterstone applications.  She
has since returned for advanced training classes in 2005 and was recently selected by
Mr. Hirsch to return to Louisville to team with him and other hand selected artisans
from across the country in a new restaurant project.   NIOS, which is scheduled to
open in time for the Kentucky Derby, is to be featured on the Travel Channel in late
April of 2006.

She opened the Z Studio of Decorative Finishes, 1405 Pennsylvania Avenue  in
Weirton, West Virginia in the spring of 2004.  She maintains clients, both
commercial and resident1al, in the tri-state area including western Pennsylvania
and eastern Ohio.

Martha has a team of fellow artisans to assist her on large projects.

She is a member of the Weirton Chamber of Commerce and SALI.

She is married and has two daughters.
Martha's love of art began in her early years of
Junior High School.  She was greatly influenced
by her father.   Although a welder by trade, he
possessed fine artistic abilities and would always
sketch drawings of children, American Indians
or simple landscapes.
